This year’s Cannes Film Festival hosted a plethora of newsworthy moments, both on and off the red carpet: Wes Anderson’s long-awaited film The French dispatch made her debut, and Tilda Swinton and Timothée Chalamet rubbed shoulders in coordinating metallic outfits; Bella Hadid and Carla Bruni lookalikes paired up in the week’s premiere; Marion Cotillard dropped steamy information about her Annette costar Adam Driver and Andie MacDowell won the red carpet wearing their silver gray hair Natural. It was one of the first full in-person red carpet events since the pandemic began – and celebrities making their first appearances in 18 months have responded in a similar fashion. The French city is teeming with stellar fashion, but let’s not forget the exceptional beauty moments either. Hadid may have donned golden lungs and a black Schiaparelli Couture dress, but her hairstyle (a chic geometric bow that looked like a piece of origami) also stole the show.
