RIYADH, May 3 (Xinhua) — Jeddah’s annual season kicked off along Jeddah’s Art Walk with waterfront fireworks in the Saudi coastal city on Monday, the first day of Eid al-Fitr.
The two-month event features 2,800 activities, including performances, exhibitions and games on international and Arab themes in nine venues.
It was the second edition of the entertainment festival, following Jeddah’s first season in 2019, which drew tens of millions of visitors from across the kingdom and beyond. Those scheduled for 2020 and 2021 have been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jeddah Season General Manager Nawaf Qumusani noted that the 2022 Jeddah season will bring joy and happiness to visitors with different interests and of all ages.
Jeddah’s annual season carries the city’s ambition to become a major destination for tourism, entertainment and festivals in the region.
