The Palm Springs Film Society has released updated COVID-19 guidelines for the January festival, specifying that full proof of vaccination will be required.

Theater capacity will be reduced to a maximum of 75% and masks will be required inside all venues and events. Masks will be strongly encouraged for outdoor events. Organizers said the masks can be removed while people are eating or drinking.
Those who cannot wear a mask due to a disability or health issue can complete a mask exemption form which can be found on the organization’s website.

âUntil we get past this pandemic, we all need to do our part so that we can once again enjoy what we love. For us, it’s the feeling of community of being together in a theater enjoying a film with others and honoring the artists who put all their heart and soul into creating their passion project and sharing it so that we can see it on the big screen, âaccording to the Palm Springs Film Society.
The Palm Springs International Film Festival is scheduled for January 6-17, with the Film Awards gala kicking off the opening day of the festivities.
